A Toddler Program beginning at 18 months
This is where it all begins! Our toddler program begins at 18 months and is designed to ensure that each child has a positive experience being away from home for the first time. We want both the parents and the children to feel at ease. In order for this to happen our teachers spend a great amount of time building community and a sense of belonging among the children.
Children and parents are greeted daily by one of our leadership team staff members. This helps set the tone for a successful day and gives parents the opportunity to fill us in on anything that we may need to know.
MOVING FROM ME TO WE
The toddler stage is an important stage in a child’s life where they are moving from the “me” to “we” stage. It is imperative that children get the proper support they need to move into the “we” stage with interpersonal skills that will set them up for success. Our teachers are highly trained professionals in Positive Education and the Adlerian philosophy, allowing them to provide programming that focuses on these important skills. Building independence (hanging up coats, putting on your own shoes, etc.) and instilling confidence within the children are some of the foundational skills that we teach our toddlers. Once those things are established, teachers can move on to transitions, sharing, speaking up and learning to use their voice, letter recognition, number sense, and the many other social/emotional and academic skills that will set them up for success as they move into our preschool program.
OUR TODDLER PROGRAM IS OFFERED:
- full day (7:30 am-6:00 pm)
- half day (9:00 am-11:30 am)
- extended day (9:00 am-2:45 pm)
