A Preschool Program that builds on past success
Our preschool program is designed so that children who have been through our Toddler Program can build upon the skills that they have learned previously. If your child is new to our programs, have no fear, our teachers spend a great amount of time in the beginning of each school year reinforcing the foundational interpersonal skills and building classroom community. Feeling a sense of belonging within a safe and nurturing environment is the number one priority for each and every child.
READY FOR MORE
At the preschool stage, children are ready for more! Academically they are ready to go beyond what they already know, moving them from letter recognition to recognizing sight words and even early reading strategies for some. In numeracy they are often ready to move beyond number recognition into counting, adding, patterning, and sequencing.
They are also further along developmentally and are therefore able to start learning about problem solving with friends, taking responsibility for their things, using their voice in an effective and appropriate manner, as well as learning to fail and get back up again. Adler (the Adlerian Philosopher) emphasized the importance of “having the courage to be imperfect.” It is this skill that we want our children to begin to develop at this stage.
Our preschool program is rich in both academics as well as the interpersonal skills development. It is our hope that when children leave our preschool program, they are well equipped for Kindergarten.
