  • 8:00-9:00 – Arrival/Outdoor Time

At NTEYLC we offer flexible arrival times. Feel free to drop your child off at the school any time between 8:00am and 9:00am. As the children are arriving, they will be invited to participate in physical education activities in our outdoor area, or gym, depending on the weather. These activities are designed to enhance your child’s gross motor development and encourage connections among the children. We are always excited to see your child’s latest dance moves, hoola hop tricks, and obstacle course skills!

    9:00-12:00 – Morning Workshop (Snack)

    * Based on the theme of the week, which are developed based on the children’s interest, our team of enthusiastic and creative teachers will design activities to entertain, challenge, and inspire your children. These activities are always planned with your child’s development in mind. We are regularly working on enhancing tool use and fine motor skills as well as incorporating literacy, math, and science into our daily fun! During this time, children can also help themselves to a delicious and nutritious snack, further developing their self-help skills. If you have enrolled your child in our [morning] program, we ask that you please pick them up at the end of this workshop.

  • 12:00-12:30 – Lunch

After a fun-filled, creative, and educational morning, the children are invited to participate in a “family-style” lunch provided by Yummy Catering. Our teachers will help your child develop self-help skills as they serve themselves, pour their own drinks, and clean up their area. This is also a wonderful time to develop language skills as our “family-style” lunch encourages children to speak up and tell the table about their day, home life, and favourite things.

    12:30 – 3:00 – Quiet Time

During this time, children may take a nap if they wish. For those children that do not nap, quiet activities are available. If your child has enrolled in our [half day plus lunch] program we ask that you pick them up at 1:00. Upon waking up from their nap, your child will be provided with an afternoon snack. Following snack, everyone puts on their sunscreen and gets ready for outdoor time!

  • 3:00 – 4:00 – Outdoor Time

Our second period of outdoor fun is very similar to our morning outing. As mentioned above, your child will be invited to participate in physical education activities in our outdoor area, or gym, depending on the weather. These activities are designed to enhance your child’s gross motor development and encourage connections among the children. We often try to incorporate some of our weekly theme or morning learning into this afternoon outdoor time. Children might find themselves digging for dinosaurs in the sand box, testing what sinks and floats in the water table, or mixing foaming sidewalk chalk colours on the ground!

    4:00 – 6:00 – Afternoon Workshop/Pick Up

For the last two hours of the day, your child will have the opportunity to participate in more fun-filled activities. Whether creating, building, exploring, or imagining, your child will continue to have a great time and further develop their social and academic skills. We are thrilled to see what amazing ideas and creations your child will produce during their time with us! If you have enrolled your child in our [full day] program, we are flexible with the pickup time. As such, you are welcome to pick your child up at any time during the afternoon workshop.

  • What are the benefits of enrolling your child in NTEYLC’s summer camp?
