  • What is littleBits?

littleBits consists of tiny circuit-boards with specific functions engineered to snap together with magnets for prototyping, learning, and fun . No soldering, no wiring, no programming, just snap together for prototyping, learning and fun. Each bit module has a specific function (light, sound, sensors, buttons, thresholds, pulse, motors, etc.), and modules snap to make larger circuits. Just as LEGO allows you to create complex structures with very little engineering knowledge, littleBits are small, simple, intuitive, blocks that make creating with sophisticated electronics a matter of snapping small magnets together.

  • Why Littlebits….

    • Organic inquiry base learning, encouraging a world of creators and Inventors!
    • Hands-on learning: Taking Lego to the next level
    • Great way to limit your child’s “screen time”
    • Collaboration: Foster group problem-solving and teamwork with design thinking challenges and project-based learning.

  • Adlerian Tutoring

Available for Blessed Sacrament School and starting in September 2015, Allenby School Students
  • Our Group Tutoring Math and Literacy Clubs for grades 1-6 are fun-filled learning environments that promote an “I can do it” attitude towards math and literacy. Unlike traditional one-on-one tutoring, the children in our Group Tutoring Clubs work together in a fun and social multi-age classroom. This provides numerous opportunities for peer mentorship, peer modeling, and cooperative learning. Whether your child needs additional support or is looking for enrichment, our classroom environment allows each child to work at their ideal learning level, demonstrate that they count as part of the class, and build confidence in their abilities. Our game-based program is designed to cover the major concepts in the Ontario Curriculum, which means that your child’s academic learning is supported and enriched.  Furthermore, each child is actively engaged in their learning as they laugh and play their way through essential math and literacy concepts!
